Flight to Chandigarh + cab
Direct flights exist. Chandigarh to Manali is 310 km and about 8 hours; a private cab from Chandigarh suits families who dislike overnight buses.
Train to Delhi
Rajdhani takes about 16 hours to Delhi; other services run to 22 hours.
