The thing nobody tells you

Snow is an altitude question, not a date question

On the same January morning, Manali town can be wet and grey while Sissu — ninety minutes away through the Atal Tunnel — is under fresh powder. Booking a date does not book you snow. Booking the right altitude does.

This is the single most common reason a Manali trip disappoints, and it is entirely avoidable. Before you pick dates, tell us what you want to see and we will tell you where the snow line is that week.
